Home  > News Get the latest news and updates on the Construction of the Skibbereen Flood Relief Scheme here: 20 May 2016 Construction Contract Awarded On May 20th Cork County Council, acting as agents of the OPW, signed a contract with Jons Civil Engineering Ltd for the construction of the River Ilen (Skibbereen) Drainage Scheme.   28 June 2016 Construction Stage Update Newsletter No. 1 issued This newsletter gives an update on planned construction activities to December 2016 and announces that the Contractor (Jons Civil engineering Ltd.) will be holding an information open night on Wednesday, 6th July from 5-8pm in the old Skibbereen Town Council Chambers above the Skibbereen Library for anyone who has any queries about the scheme.   27 September 2016 Diversion Works will continue in the Coronea Drive - Baltimore Due to ongoing works in this area Traffic Management Controls will continue until the end of October 2016. There will be restricted parking on Townshend Street and two way traffic for Local Access only.
